TimeKeepers and ScoreKeepers

Volunteers needed to serve as Timekeepers and Scorekeepers for various events throughout the tournament. Serving as a volunteer TimeKeeper or ScoreKeeper will provide a wristband for free one day admission into the tournament. However, you will be responsible for meeting the obligations of the position for which you've volunteered for the duration of the tournament.

General Requirements:

• Must be age 16 or older, free of distractions, and have a clear, loud voice for calling scores or time
• Must be available from 9:30AM until the end of the tournament day for the day you volunteered
• Must Check-in at 9:30 AM, each day for Ring Assignments and WristBands
• Wristbands permit fee free entry to the tournament
• Read and Write with clear penmanship 
• New and Inexperienced volunteers will be paired with an Experience volunteer.**

TimeKeepers

Requirements: 

• Time Keepers are responsible for keeping track of time during matches
• Responsible for alerting Center Judge when time has run out using a bean bag and calling "Time"
• Follow instructions as given by the Center Ring Judge

ScoreKeepers

Requirements:

• Responsible for keeping score via flip cards or paper scoresheets depending on events
• Able to perform simple mathematical calculation with a calculator
• Able to follow simple instructions
• Able to read and call back scores in a clear, loud voice, as judges present scores
• Read and write clearly in English
• Write down scores for kata & kumite as well as penalties for fighting divisions
